The theme of this year’s issue is communities and collaborations fostering more transparent and open research to the benefit of society. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Throughout the last decade, we have seen a growing movement in international, regional and national contexts towards more networked communities working collaboratively to increase access to and reuse of research and culture in a way that best serves the interests of the public and academic communities. The editorial board of NOPOS would like to welcome contributions in 2025 highlighting such communities and collaborations. Topics of interest could be, but are not limited to:</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Open Science communities</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">reproducibility networks</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">collaborations around (diamond) open access</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">work on open educational resources</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">open source</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">open infrastructures</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">co-creation and crowdsourcing</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We warmly invite both full research articles that will undergo peer-review, as well as case studies (e.g. project descriptions/experiences) that will be subjected to internal editorial feedback and decision making. The articles in the issue will be published continuously, as they become ready for publication; the issue will close at the end of this year.
